MJ meets the Spiders!

Okay, we’ve actually hung with the Spiders twice now, but here are some pics from MJ’s first evening at the Point. Sarah was in attendance and it was the perfect weather for a smoking jacket. Just kidding, but that is what it looks like on her. This is the Ribbed Jacket by Debbie Bliss that Sarah made for MJ :) . She did an amazing job, no surprise there!

MJ slept through most of the experience, but this past Friday she spent more time awake and getting to know the girls. We even spent yesterday at the Renegade Craft Fair! Mommy bought a fanny pack… yes, a frackin’ fanny pack. It’s cool, I mean hip, I mean cool… I swear. Basically if it’s not tied on, it’s gonna get lost. Steph is fixing the strap up for me and then I’ll take a pic. Basically, if you need to wear one of these things, this is the one I recommend.

The Fair was pretty cool, but I felt like it was basically a place to get t-shirts, bags and plushies. Not that our crowd wasn’t interested in just those things! There were a few places for cards and handmade books, but mostly it was a fabric bonanza. I need to get a sewing machine. hmmm, i do have b’day coming up! A big one too…

It was so much fun wandering around the fair yesterday with you, MJ, and the rest of the Spiders, even if the stuff there wasn’t totally up our alley. And man, I’m glad we went on Saturday because today is sweltering!!

You forgot to mention the gazillion booths selling cute onesies! Did you get any for MJ?
Also, having seen your fanny pack, I can attest that it’s actually really nice! The design is a little different and I think everybody will be asking you where you got it…

You have the sweetest baby I’ve ever seen! Or maybe she just already loves knitting and crafting so much that she’s totally thrilled to hang at the Point or the Craft Fair–either way, what a cutie!

She is so frikken cute! Enjoy that sleep now…cause…eeeh it doesn’t last. haha. Sitting with my 6 year old for even 10 minutes is enough to make you want to run in front of a train. I love her, but goddamn that girl can talk!

It was so wonderful to finally meet little MJ! She’s just a doll. And I’d consider it more of a hip-pouch than the cursed “fanny pack.” Just wait until MJ is big enough to go ga-ga over the plushies.

I *loved* meeting MJ - thanks so much for making the big effort to bring her out! She’s just darling, and I’m already looking forward to the next visit, when she’ll be so much more interactive. And she looked so great in her smoking jacket, which is how I’ll always think of that pattern from now on!
