a day in the life
2006 @ 11:46 am
Just a day, not a “typical” day because we really don’t have any of those. On this day, the morning began like this:
and ended like this:
I got through the entire heel! I’m in the home stretch of Jaywalker #2 and can say with reasonable certainty that I am not a sock person. That being said, the convenience of shoving a sock project into the diaper bag cannot be denied, so I am sure this won’t be my last pair!

Those Jaywalkers can get kinda tedious after a while. Mine have been on the needles for a long, long time….
Looks like everyone likes to lounge on you in the morning
I’m loving it! Especially the part where the kitty has to get in on the love, and then the part where MJ just chills in your lap while you wield pointy implements above her head. What a cool girl she is.
That cat is frikken huge and I want to steal it.
…oh and the baby is cute, too.
MJ seems absolutely content in both photos. Your couch is getting a workout with kitty cat and baby love! I still haven’t begun my second Jaywalker, so I’d better get on that. I just haven’t turned into a sock person yet…but I WANT to!
What an absolutely adorable scene in both pictures — happy mama, happy baby, happy kitty, and happy knitting!! You look so content - and it’s no wonder why!
Awww the Wong’s look so cute! I can’t believe I’m about to type this but I am quickly becoming a sock knitter… I have purchased vast amounts of sock knitting paraphenalia lately. I am wrapping up sock #2 this week!
Maybe it’s the needle size that makes socks stink? You’re right about portability, it doesn’t get any better.
You’re first pic is hilarious. Are you wearing a blue tooth?
Great to see you friday. And by the looks of it, that sock IS coming along. I’m thinking of switching to circs for socks for real this time, since I pulled out a dpn of one of my socks when looking for a pencil in my bag! Bet they’d be more portable then!

hahaha, boy do you look tired in that first picture.. this series could also be called, “before coffee, after coffee”
