it’s sew easy to fall in love…

Stephanie came over and gave me my first sewing lesson tonight! I heart the machine–the Singer Quantum Futura CE-200, if you are interested. I learned how to thread the machine and got my first piece of fabric through that bad boy. Now that MJ is asleep I can’t wait to show you the cool cool cool shit this machine can do. Yes, it sews a straight stitch, but it also does tons and tons and tons of other stitches. I feel weird calling some of them stitches, they are so graphic!

I used red thread on a dark green pillowcase… no fabric stash to speak of yet :)

I see many embellished onesies in my future.

ps–i’ll be getting to your lovies this coming week :)

Oh, those little duckies are adorable! And I have to admit I’m liking those stars. Damn, that is one fancy sewing machine. I’m very jealous.

Very nice. I was just cursing at my sewing machine this morning only to find out I was threading the bobbin all wrong. I love MJ’s jade bracelet. Very nice.

That’s amazing! Your sewing machine is magic. My old machine can only do a “straight” line. How can you resist putting little stars and duckies on everything in your home.

Oh, cute! Look at you go with that fancy stuff! MJ is going to grow up in style.
My machine supposed to be able to do that, but I’ve yet to convince it. It’s all digital and funky and I’ve only every made pillows and curtains. Very boring.
