now on etsy

I finally did it! I’ve opened a store on Etsy. After Mr. Sassy wore my very first FO scarf around town for a few days and was asked repeatedly about it, I started making some nice chunky scarves. Can I tell you how satisfying it is to finish a whole scarf in an evening? I highly recommend it! I had some absolutely gorgeous yarn around with no plans for it–handspun, slubby, etc. And then, Brooklyn Handspun Marie gave me even more! So, while I am sure none of my amazing knitter readers are interested in purchasing something they themselves could make in an instant, I would ask that you visit, tell you friends, and consider making a purchase should your Christmas knitting plans blow up in your face. You can totally lie and say you made it–i don’t mind!
Here’s a sample of what’s available:
In addition to the scarves, I’ve put up a few ribbon & glass ornaments that I made last year. I’m hoping these sell because I’m itching to make more! They are really beautiful and I aim to trim my whole tree in them someday. For now, they look delightful grouped together on our twisting bamboo plant. Here’s a sample:
I hope you’ll visit and maybe even talk about it on your blog–I’d certainly appreciate the support! It’s quite nervewracking to throw a bit of yourself up for sale. I’ve got other ideas for items to put up on the shop and will be working on them in the coming weeks. How does everyone feel about laptop keyboard dust covers with their blog name on them?
This is what I’ve been up too!

Way to put your stuff out there!! Laptop keyboard dust covers could be cool!!
i have always loved your christmas ornaments! I can’t wait to decorate our tree this weekend and dig out the beautiful ornament you gifted me last year. the chunky scarves are tres chic!
I love the ornaments! Very cute. I love that sense of satisfaction after finishing something super-quickly. I’m not a very fast knitter so I love it when something starts to come together pretty fast like chunky scarves do.
I still lurk you all the time, even if I don’t always comment. I was looking through all my old comments the other day, and they’re almost all from you, Christine, Pam, and Joy. Oh the old knitblogging days, haha!
congrats on the new etsy shop! it take some courage to put yourself out there like that.
looks great!
those covers would be so cute, i love it!
Congratulations on the etsy store -that’s really exciting! And I had no idea I needed a laptop keyboard dust cover until you mentioned it, and now my laptop keyboard feels dirty and unloved.
Hey good luck with the shop! I see you got the thrill of the first sale! Congratulations, I’m sure you’ll have more to come. PS I also love the laptop cover idea. Great idea and I bet they would be a hit on Etsy.
