dare to repair
2006 @ 3:11 pm
Last night was fix it night around here. Mr. Sassy is on a roll with the needles; he and I watched the Simpsons while repairing Mr. Met’s crotch and my bra hooks, respectively. For some reason, Mr. Met is MJ’s FAVORITE (actually, we’re pretty sure it’s cuz he’s wearing a hat).
He split his pants a while back and I am forever sticking his stuffing back in. Just yesterday he was showing MJ how to crawl and left a trail of the stuff behind. Mr. S offered to fix him up while I tended to the fact that ALL of my nursing bras have lost their hooks, and to varying degrees I might add! I did a sloppy job of it, but they are functional again. Mr. Met, on the other hand, is a new man!
After that was done, I jumped on the craft vibes my husband was exuding and handed over the very perplexing I-cord machine. This is a man who can complete a Rubik’s Cube in under 3 minutes. After one false start…
…we had cord to play with! And play we did. Cat’s Cradle anyone?
He who makes the cord, keeps the cord! I handed it over to him after that.

i’m glad to see that mr met is a whole man again
MJ was really loving the stuffing right out of him!
go mr sassy! he’s really been on a roll lately!
You may want to keep an eye on Mr. Sassy or you’ll come home to find miles of icord - that machine can be pretty addictive.
I think you’ve got some new shots for Mr. Sassy’s modelling career!
I could’ve shown you how the icord machine works! But then I wouldv’e deprived Mr Sassy of some great enjoyment. I love how his hand is going to fast that it’s blurry… Go Mr Sassy, go!
Wow, Mr. Sassy has become quite the crafting asset! He repairs Mr. Met, makes i-cord–what next? Glad to see you guys are enjoying such domestic bliss over there!

that is some really delicate stuffed animal surgery! i’m impressed at his craftiness, tho. and jealous …
