another one on the needles
2007 @ 10:34 am
I’ve started the Lace Trim Bolero from Spring/Summer 2005 Vogue Knitting. It’s to match a dress I’ll be wearing to a wedding this summer–late June.
Wish me luck in finishing it on time! I’m working one of the fronts now and have already completed the back. I love love love the yarn–navy blue, almost black, Zara. I can’t believe its my first time using it! I’m using size 6 needles and its making a great, jacket-like fabric. I hope it fits… the smallest size is 36″
After this is finished, I plan on resurrecting the Phildar Camisole (check out Lisa’s). I’ve got the back and most of the front done! I’m not feeling the color anymore. It’s very 2004. So is the rest of my wardrobe though, haha.
Happy Memorial Day. BBQ your butts off.

if you’re not feeling the color now, in 2-4 years it’ll resurface as the new “IN” color. ^_^ make sure to post some pics of the bolero’s debut.
Cute dress! You’ll finish the bolero with time to spare, I’m sure.
I don’t remember what size I made the bolero (probably the smallest), but it fits fine!
And I agree with Steph, pink is always a good color!
that dress is adorable! i don’t think i know that bolero, but i’m sure it will look great.

2004 or no, you’re going to love the Phildar Cami - I know I love mine. That dress is super cute - good luck with the Bolero, maybe going down a needle size will help make it a little more ’snug’?
