I’ve gotten one sleeve nearly complete on my Kaitlyn sweater–just need to do a lace repeat and graft it to the cuff. Time to start thinking ahead!
First, I must wind my hand dyed yarn. I realize that i will be making quite a small pinwheel blankie. I’m thinking that’s not a very big deal at all–it will be for decoration mostly anyway.
Next, I’ve got another baby shower coming up! I’ll be casting on for this beauty from Knitting for Two for a special little lady to arrive in June
Lastly, I need a lace pattern for a table runner! My poor coffee table is suffering. It’s an antique, leather top table that has been in my family for quite some time, but has been battered in our house. I will stop there. I even went so far as to cover the table in glass. Unfortunately, the table does not lie flat so when the glass slips, as it often does, it is inevitably scratched again. It pains me greatly. So, I am making it a cover. The glass will sit atop the runner, which will actually be more like a tablecloth. I have two skeins of Knitpicks Shimmer in Deep Woods for the job.
yea yea, I’m not supposed to buy new yarn… I know. But I didn’t have any lace weight in the stash! That doesn’t account for what i bought from Joy though… well, that was for the baby, right? *sigh*… guess I’ll go update that Finish and Diminish page. And the Project page while I’m at it… some shame will do me good.

Let me know if you want that last skein of Malabrigo from Joy, it’s undyed, so you could do a white border if you wanted to. Sorry I stole it away from you but, damn, it was so soft and I just had to have it…
Cute hat! What color? Are you going to include the flapper bow, too?
Oh, a table runner would be perfect for that table!! Love that hat too!!
The hat is adorable! Ohh Virginia did a lace table runner recently and it looks great - maybe she has a pattern for it.
Painfully cute hat. Can’t wait to see it knit. Love the stash photos. I should do that to guilt myself out of buying yarn.

i’m using that merino aran i bought from joy to make the baby lara! looks like we both have baby knits coming up
