GOODBYE TIME WARNER! I have been sick of dealing with Time Warner as my cable and internet provider from the very moment I signed up for service four years ago. They have a stronghold (MONOPOLY) on Brooklyn and I am very happy to report that I am finally free. After yet another botched service appointment, I cancelled. Did they offer me anything to stay? NO! Why would they? There’s another sucker where I came from. Sure, On Demand is a nice feature, but so is $50 more a month in my pocket! This is the short version… I have finally calmed down and can’t muster a real rant on the topic. Suffice to say there should be some sort of revolution against those mofos.
Here I go, skipping off into the sunset with my new DirectTV, SpeakEasy DSL and Netflix subscriptions. I wish I was graphically talented enough to render the image for you…

I just checked out your Craftastic Gallery. Look who’s sitting right behind Joy in your picture of the Yarn Harlot Event April 05 (picture #5)! I knew I could prove that I was there!
I’m still amazed by the cable monopoly here by TW. I have never had cable in the city (in 5+ years), and proud of it. Although Verizon are a bit of a rip off for the DSL. Congrats on freeing yourself from them!
OH MY GOD I hate Time Warner!! I have no cable. I download shows, I refuse to pay that much for freaken television. I have Netflix, too. I love it!
You did a good thing!! REVOLT!!

Wow, I’ve had Time Warner service for the past 5 years and have never had a problem (knock on wood). Perhaps my good karma will follow me to Brooklyn?! If not, it sounds like you’ve got a plan B. Whew!
