It seems I’ve let my WIPs get just a bit out of hand, once again. As Fall befalls us, I am compelled to cast on projects and leave others in the dust. It’s been ages since I did a WIP round up here on the blog–does anyone even wonder what I’m knitting anymore? In case you do, here’s the pile next to the couch.

Actually, maybe I’m not doing as badly as I thought–that bright blue is to be frogged!

The rest in descending order are:
1. Nottingham Hat in Queensland Collection-Kathmandu Aran. I am really enjoying this yarn! A friend made a Cobblestone Sweater from it and it was just lovely. I’ve been eyeing it, and convincing others to buy it, ever since.

2. The Eyelet Yoke Cardigan (that’s a ravelry link) found on the Lion Brand site. This one’s for Maia and the blue to be frogged is my first attempt on this sweater. Lamb’s Pride Worsted was just the wrong yarn choice in many ways. Never let the three year old pick, people. The new choice is Shelridge Farm Merino I picked up at Rhinebeck. I tried to sneak the change on Maia, but she noticed immediately. Once I explained that the other was too itchy, she allowed the sub

3. At the bottom of the pile is the Tangled Yoke Cardigan. It’s body is just laying there while I carry around a sleeve.

In other news, the photo above will be the last photo taken on my point and shoot. Today I went out and got me a dSLR! At a certain Spider’s wedding I had the chance to really test the limits of my Canon G7 as compared to both Canon and Nikon SLR’s present. It became clear all too quickly that the G7, while amazing in it’s own right, just wasn’t going to cut it for much longer. I was in major lust…

Oh hey! You can see my grey hairs! Perhaps this wasn’t such a great idea… more about the camera once we get to know each other

I have been steadily working away at projects all summer and into the fall, but nothing seems to be coming to completion. I have four knitting projects on the needles and three unfinished sewing projects. Eeks! I thought I would crank through two of the lighter weight knitting pieces this summer, but I jut wasn’t inspired. I’ve made major progress on my Tangled Yoke Cardigan in the last week, although it’s just stockinette… the interest is in the yoke, which is still quite a ways away.

My prediction is that I’ll finished the Tangled Yoke and an apron first–despite the fact that other projects have languished longer.

It seems my projects are intentionally coordinated by color–2008 was a deep year for blue/greeen. The year to come? Orange! Based on recent purchases, anyway.
